| （Xi’an Physical Education University，Xi’an 710068，China） Abstract: The basic technical skill standard for physical education teachers in elementary and middle schools speci-fies the ways of action or mental activity of physical education teachers in elementary and middle schools to norma-tively accomplish physical education teaching tasks by applying knowledge and experience in physical education teaching activities. It is the pursuit of physical education teachers in elementary and middle schools for ideal physi-cal education teaching and their recognition of physical education teaching patterns, and more importantly, a sort of quality awareness and management mean to be provided for physical education teachers in elementary and middle schools to accomplish physical education teaching tasks. The establishment of the basic technical skill standard for physical education teachers in elementary and middle schools has an important meaning in boosting physical educa-tion teaching reform in elementary and middle schools.
