Abstract: Using the methods of literature and logical analysis, this paper explores the value turn, realistic dilemma and practical direction of school physical education in promoting the all-round development under the background of "double reduction" policy. The study holds that the value transformation of school physical education is to build morality by physical education from cognition to action, the transition of physical intelligence from short term to long term, the leap of physical beauty from static state to dynamic state, and the return of physical labor from form to practice. But the moral function of school physical education has fallen into the mire of negative stereotype, the function of increasing intelligence has fallen into the barrier of exam-oriented, the function of aesthetic education has been marginalized, and the function of labor has faced formalization crisis. This paper puts forward to overcome the negative influence of stereotype and improve the moral education effect of school physical education; to deepen reform of educational system and mechanism and unblock the intelligence increasing mechanism; to enhance the position of aesthetic education field and strengthen the aesthetic function; and to build a consensus on advocating labor concept and give full play to the labor advocating function of school physical education.
