(School of Physical Education and Sports，Beijing Normal University，Beijing 100875，China) Abstract: By using the methods of literature and logical analysis, this paper combs and summarizes the realistic background, core content and governance experience of social responsibility development for the NBA league, and puts forward the beneficial enlightenment to the social responsibility governance for CBA league in China. The research shows that the continuous embedding of the concept of social responsibility governance and the image crisis of the NBA league are the realistic background of social responsibility development for the NBA league; the NBA league mainly performs its social responsibilities in seven dimensions: internal organizational governance, human rights protection, labor and capital coordination, environmental protection, fair operation, consumers' rights protection and community governance. In the practice of performing its responsibilities, it has gradually formed a social responsibility management mechanism with perfect system, coordinated cooperation, consistent objectives and clear levels of social responsibility governance system and comprehensive information disclosure feedback various forms of social responsibility supervision mechanism. The enlightenment maybe for China as follows: at the government level, improving the legal system and strengthen the normative guidance of social responsibility, and creating a social responsibility participation atmosphere and establish a social responsibility reward and punishment mechanism; at the association level, establishing a social responsibility management system; at the alliance level, improving the social responsibility management organization, and the social responsibility system guarantee, expanding channels for disclosure of social responsibility information; at the social level, strengthening media publicity, promoting public awareness and action to protect rights, and intensifying the social supervision of the alliance's performance of responsibilities.
