Abstract: In order to solve the problems of Wushu teaching content at school such as boredom, unable to train stu-dents' sports ability and to cultivate the national spirit, the paper mainly using the method of teaching experiment reformed Taijiquan elective courses in universities for seven years. Finally the structured Taijiquan course system is formed, which takes "the basic techniques such as beginning form, setting up the hands and the core techniques such as apparent close-up, needling to the seafloor, white stork stretching wings" as the main teaching content, taking "the basic skills→the movements→the game of pushing hands→the single practice" as the teaching procedures and taking the game of pushing hands as the main teaching link. The curriculum design is completely consistent with the dominant idea of Chinese health physical education curriculum model, which not only conforms to the specific real-ity of young students, but also can cultivate students' sports abilities, as well as can cultivate the national spirit of "vigorous and self-strengthening" for students.
