（School of Physical Education，Zhoukou Normal University，Zhoukou 466001，China) Abstract: The author studied the limitations of health education in the physical education and health curriculum as well as ideas and methods for its effective implementation, analyzed that health education in school education is pressing, collated the limitations of implementing health education in the physical education and health curriculum in terms of time, teacher, knowledge and evaluation etc, and put forward ideas and methods for effectively imple-menting health education in the physical education and health curriculum in terms of objective, content, teacher, space-time and evaluation etc. The author concluded that for the effective implementation of health education, health education objectives should be clear and specific; content setup should be operable; teacher team construction should be carried out in a diversified way; ways of organization and implementation should be integrated; evalua-tion system construction should realize standardization; etc.
