| （School of Sport Science，Fujian Normal University，Fuzhou 350117，China) Abstract: The authors explored the Athlete Learning Gateway (ALG) built by the International Olympic Commit-tee, and revealed the following findings: the building of the Gateway practices the value conception of “Athletes at the heart of the Olympic Movement”, complies with the reform trend in the era of “Internet+Education”; the Gate-way is provided with such characteristics as subjects coordinated, module structures integrated, curriculum systems professionalized, and teaching modes optimized. When building an athlete MOOC education platform with Chinese features, China should establish the “athlete oriented” guiding ideology, build a “professionalization based” educa-tion platform, and utilize “ALG dominated” international resources.
