| （Department of Physical Education，Xuchang University，Xuchang 461000，China) Abstract: Starting with dissecting traditional sports management crises in China, the author offered suggestions for building a new sports governance system. The author put forward the following opinions: main types of traditional sports management in China include “mobile type”, “intervened type” and “arranged type”; single management subject and means has affected the sustainable development of Chinese sports, resulted in the structural unbalance of the sports undertaking, and retarded the development of sports marketization; to build a new sports governance sys-tem, multiple governance subjects consisting of government, society and market should be formed first, and then a cooperative governance mode should be adopted, for which main methods include objective determination, respon-sibility division, relationship reinforcement, as well as mutual benefitting and progressing.
