| (College of Physical Education,Shandong University of Technology, Zibo 255049,China) Abstract: The authors probed into the relationship between the kickball played in ancient Linzi in China and leisure life from the perspective of leisure life,and discovered the followings: leisure life has a close relationship with the politics,economy and culture of the society in the mean time; the kickball that was originated 2300 years ago and played in ancient Linzi is not only a cultural and sports activity of entertainment which substantiates leisure life, but also the matrix of modern soccer,and also enriches the leisure life of modern people with its extremely powerful functions of leisure culture; kickball and leisure life will play a role jointly in the healthiness and long life of human beings if we make the past serve the present and bring out the best in them.
