| （1.Editorial Department，Shanghai University of Sport，Shanghai 200438，China；2.Department of Physical Education，Hebei United University，Tangshan 063000，China） Abstract: Wushu journal is an important platform for Wushu communication; the quality of its development is re-lated to the rising or declining of Wushu. By means of literature data and logic analysis and expert interview, the authors summarized Chinese Wushu journal development restricting factors. External restricting factors are unsatis-factory Wushu development, lack of Wushu development policies, separation of emerging media, changes of audi-ence’s sports interests and needs. Internal restricting factors are deviation between journal contents and reader needs, identical journal column settings, content homogenization, journal normalization, low degree of standardiza-tion, poor incoming manuscript quality, and incomplete journal distribution channels.
