Abstract: The constant development of modern TV sports programs, as well as the Beijing Olympic Games, have pushed the development of TV sports programs in China to its peak. TV sports programs play a role in promoting the formation of sports health view of urban residents as well as the willingness, contents and times of their partici-pation in sports activities. However, mass sports communication that bases mainly on technical sports communica-tion has resulted in people’s misunderstanding about sport as a culture.
