| （Department of Physical Education，Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology，Maoming 525000，China） Abstract: Artistic transformation of sport is not to turn sport into art, but to realize the diversification of sports value, and to intensify its aesthetical value. Specific ways for artistic transformation of sport include superficial, on-tological and nuclear artistic transformation of sport. Having enriched the form of expression of sport and substanti-ated the cultural connotation of sport, the fusion of sport with art is the superficial artistic transformation of sport; it is the ontological artistic transformation of sport to create and intensify the beauty of sport and exclude factors that destroy the beauty of sport by means of revising rules on the basis of finding the beauty of sport; the creation of sports art is the nuclear artistic transformation of sport, a form of expression to turn the transient beauty of sport into the eternal beauty of art, and to expand the beauty of sport.
