(School of Physical Education,Zhengzhou University,Zhengzhou 450044,China) Abstract: The book titled Modern China’s Olympic Memories was written by ZHANG Bo, a historian, divided into 17 chapters. By using valuable historical materials, this book vividly described the people and events in modern China participating in the Olympic movement in detail, including whether the first letter of invitation for the Olym-pic Games would be received, how the “three Olympic questions” were asked, the generation of the first two Chi-nese members of the International Olympic Committee, and the courses to observe and participate the 9th, 10th, 11th and 14th Olympic Games. The book embodied the author’s spirit for innovation and courage to put forward his own opinions, containing plenty historical materials, showing the author’s fluid writing and solid accomplishments in history study.
