| （Department of Sports Theory，Shanghai University of Sport，Shanghai 200438，China） Abstract: The change of value view, employment condition, urban living environment and social mobility charac-teristics of the new generation of peasant workers are core factors that affect the realization of their sports needs. The author put forward the following measures for development: specify the responsibility for assuring the sports rights of peasant workers; strengthen the construction of the sports public service equalization system; advocate en-terprise’s undertaking of social responsibilities, so as to create conditions for the realization of sports needs of peas-ant workers, and thus to boost the harmonious development of sports and the society.
