By building the “Physical Education Online” network forum, the publisher of the Journal of Physical Education has attracted a volume of several million visits in a year or so. In order to exert the functions of the internet and organize internet surfers to participate in “Weekly Hits Online” activities on the “Physical Education Online” network forum, and based on the exploration and contemplation of online discussion about the academic journal, the authors analyzed and summarized issues about how to establish a lasting, healthy and orderly online discussion mode, and put forward the following opinions: for online discussion, preliminary promotion jobs should be done well, and appropriate topics for discussion and proper forms of discussion should be selected carefully, so as to attract more professionals to support and join the discussion.
