| （College of Physical Education，Shandong Economic University，Jinan 250014，China） Abstract: A new system of practical physical education teaching contents should be established under the guidance of the essence of Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standard for Elementary and Middle Schools and Physical Education Curriculum Teaching Guide for Common Institutes of Higher Learning in China, by arranging “periodically circulated” theories horizontally according to physical education teaching materials and sorting physi-cal education teaching items and contents vertically according to the characteristics of physical and mental devel-opment of students on the basis of maintaining curriculum flexibility, so that practical physical education teaching contents are moderately “detailed” to make their arrangement and selection more scientific theoretically and more operational practically.
