Abstract: A constitution based system of power decentralization is implemented for education in the United States, which has boosted the diversification of education in the United States. Influenced by the diversification of educa-tion, the physical education discipline in the United States is also developing in a diversified way, which has re-sulted in a loose structure of the disciplinary system of physical education. Such experiences as student orientated education, contemporary demand closely watched education, and highly regarded construction of disciplinary teams and academic organizations, as well as such problems as loose and chaotic development of the discipline, low de-gree of social recognition, and unclear disciplinary attribution, which existed in the course of development of the physical education discipline in the United States, are all important references for the development of the physical education discipline in China.
