What exactly is the true nature of physical education curriculum? XIE Fei-hou

(Physical Education Cultural Research Institute，Hubei University，Wuhan 430062，China) Abstract: Cultural inheritance is not the true nature of physical education curriculum, but a means for the purpose of cultivating people. The true nature of physical education curriculum can be expressed as follows: Its curriculum objective bases mainly on ensuring student’s physical health, and secondly on psychological and social objectives; its teaching content bases mainly on physical training and sports skill teaching, and secondly on cultural inheritance; its teaching form bases mainly on activity curriculum, and secondly on academic curriculum.
