Abstract:The authors surveyed the information about physical education in all junior middle schools in rural areas in Jiangsu province. Based on their analysis of information in such aspects as hardware facility configuration, teacher team construction,and deployment of curricular and extracurricular teaching activities,the authors offered the following suggestions in order to provide a helpful reference for the reform and healthy development of physical education in junior middle schools in rural areas in Jiangsu province: Physical education in junior middle schools in rural areas should be included in the overall educational planning;more funds should be invested in physical education;the cultivation of physical education teachers should be strengthened,etc.
