摘 要：“文明其精神，野蛮其体魄”是一个穿越百年、历久弥新的历史命题。党的十八大以 来，习近平先后两次重提这一历史命题，赋予其丰富而深邃的时代价值，并对新时代实践这一历 史命题提出了新的更高要求。结合习近平关于体育发展的系列重要论述，解析了这一历史命题的 当代价值意蕴。研究表明，新时代该命题具有多维价值向度，真切表达了提升民族素质、振奋民 族精神、凝聚民族力量、促进民族复兴的时代诉求。应促进体教深度融合、深化体育供给侧结构 性改革、扩大体育交流交往，以实现体育在促进人民健康与人的全面发展、满足人民日益增长的 美好生活需要。

Abstract: "Civilization its spirit, barbarism its physique" is a historical proposition that has passed through a  century lasted for a long time. Since the 18th CPC national congress, Xi Jinping reiterated and reiterated this  historical proposition two times, and he endowed it with rich and profound era value, and put forward new and  higher requirements for the historical proposition of practice in the new era. This article combines Xi Jinping's series  of important discussions on sports development, it analyzes the contemporary value implication of this historical  proposition. The research shows that in the new era, this historical proposition has a multi-dimensional value  dimensions, and truly expresses the demands of the times to improve national quality, stimulate national spirit,  condense national strength and promote national rejuvenation. Based on these, it can be suggested that promoting  the in-depth integration of sports and education, deepening the structural reform of sports supply side, and  expanding sports exchanges, so as to realize the role of sports in promoting people's health and people's all-round  development and meeting people's growing needs for a better life.
